Sensation - Tangled Semigroups
This is an installation of digital prints and mathematics with video.

Mathematics and painting are the experience of something universal. Whether Goursat's proof of the Cauchy Theorem or Titian’s Deposition, they record the makers' search guided by the sensation of the true, beautiful, and significant. Research notes or marks on a canvas trace and express this reaction.

The Installation
On a white wall in the gallery (e.g. Gallery B) 8’ x 8’
5 Prints of Digital Images: Tangle 1 thru Tangle 5 in order
A QR code with link to the resulting pre-print in Research Gate
www.researchgate.net/publication/341805…
A video projected just above Tangle 3

The video projects Tangle 1 coming into focus, pausing, followed by Tangle 5 fully focused, then fading away. The video is focused 8 feet wide 8 feet high just above the prints reaching up the wall with equal parts on prints, wall above, and the ceiling. It is repeated at random intervals, each viewing lasting for a minute and a half.

Since this is the sensation of the maker no part can be replaced. It is totally non-fungible. It must be sold as one item except for the pre-print which is in the public domain.
This is reflected in the price.
